Rob and I have worked side-by-side in construction for years now, working and building everything from residential additions, windows/doors, to repairs, remodels etc.. But what we’ve really built is something far more meaningful — trust, respect, and a bond that’s only grown stronger with every project.
Like a lot of things, they take time. A father can teach their son or daughter, or learn from them as well. It’s important to keep our ears and eyes open, to face challenges and benefit from them!
From planning projects during rough weather, customers springing a surprise timeframe and bringing to life a difficult design, we’ve tackled every challenge with grit and a shared sense of humor. There’s something unique about knowing the person next to you on the job site is family. You hold each other to a high standard — not just because it’s your name on the work, but because it’s your legacy.
Watching my son grow into a skilled, dependable builder has been one of the greatest rewards of my career. And while the tools we use may change, the core values we share — integrity, hard work, and pride in what we do — remain as solid as concrete.
To all the families working together in trades, I tip my hat to you. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
Here’s to more projects, more sawdust, and more memories.
